I am due to have a hip replacement next month and have paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (the consultant knows about this). I'm not on any blood thinners just beta blockers and anti arrhymics. You would still have to be referred and go through the process. Best to see the NHS consultant and see what they say - most of them practise privately but NHS have different criteria to follow.
