WebHistory Point Pleasant is a small historic residential neighborhood in downtown Bradenton. Point Pleasant was previously known as Curry’s Point, named for Henry F. Curry, an early resident of Bradenton from Key West who purchased 15 acres of land from William Patten and established his home on the northernmost part of the point in 1882.
