These barriers can be related to an individual’s emotional state, lack of self-confidence, preconceptions, or other mental factors that can distort their perception and understanding of a message. WebThese include filtering, selective perception, information overload, emotional disconnects, lack of source familiarity or credibility, workplace gossip, semantics, gender differences, differences in meaning between Sender and Receiver, and biased language.
